May 1, 2020

I want to thank everyone for the patience over the last couple of weeks as we all eagerly awaited the announcements of getting the opportunity to be able to offer ATC Fitness again as a service to you. Turning off the switch on a business that has been servicing some communities for as many as 27 years was tough and challenging. As you navigate through this information of when ATC fitness will reopen, I will ask for more of your patience.

All ATC Fitness centers will be open on Monday, May 11th. I want to be extremely clear on what has driven our decision to open on that date. Our priority, as ATC Fitness, is always going to be safety for our members and staff.

Other things to include in our process involve getting staff back in and training them on the new regulations and procedures. We have had to get in line many of the cleaning supplies and sanitizers we will need to provide a safe environment. One that cannot be forgotten is a large piece of our puzzle – our billing. We believe that setting the date of May 11th – to get our employees back in, procedures in place, supplies, and all of our billing under control – we will be ready to give you back the ATC Fitness you deserve.

We will be adding more details to our website over the coming days to assist you with more information pertaining to billing, re-opening phases, and frequently asked questions and answers.

Hello from ATC.

As of this time, we do not have a solid opening date for all 18 of our locations. Our goal is to keep everyone informed of what those dates are as soon as we know ourselves. We understand that some state Governors have lifted restrictions. We have been instructed to wait and listen to our local mayors as well as the county health directors. Certainly, we hope to receive that information sooner rather than later.

We hope this message finds all of you in a good place. We have now been closed just over a month and cannot express how much we miss seeing all of you in the gyms. As we continue to navigate through the re-opening process, ATC and our members will have to make sacrifices, so we are granted the go ahead to open. To go along the lines of the federal “Phased” re-opening, ATC will also have certain guidelines during the different phases. Below is a guideline of how that will look.

Phase 1:

  • Business/workout hours will be conducted between (6am-10pm M-TH, 6am-8pm F, 8am-8pm Sat-Sun).

  • Each location will be running under limited Occupancy during this phase. Once that percentage of occupancy is reached, we will resort to a one leave/one enter system at that time.

  • Members are encouraged to wear a mask or cloth face covering while inside the facility.

  • Members will be scanned for body temperature before entering the facility with a hands-free temporal thermometer. If the temperature reads above 100.4, then you may not enter the club that day.

  • The gym is reserved for Members only. No guest will be allowed inside during this phase.

  • Social distancing is a must. If there is an opportunity to put a cardio or strength machine between you and another person, please do so.

  • If you have an underlying health issue, we suggest you do not enter during this phase. Please speak with a manager for further options.

  • Wash hands, use hand sanitizer liberally while in the facility

Phase 2:

  • Business/workout hours will be conducted same as Phase 1.

  • Each location will extend to a larger percentage of occupancy.

  • Continue social distancing. If there is an opportunity to put a cardio or strength machine between you and another person, please do so.

  • If you have an underlying health issue, we suggest you speak with your doctor before entering.

Phase 3:

  • Workout hours return to 24-hour access.

  • Gym resumes regular policies and procedures.

  • Continue social distancing. If there is an opportunity to put a cardio or strength machine between you and another person, please do so.

**These policies could change at any time at the discretion of ATC Fitness**

ATC Fitness is currently closed due to COVID-19.

Due to the ongoing global pandemic, ATC Fitness is temporarily closed due to state-mandated closures. During this time, we will not be accepting new memberships, and current members will not be billed. We will update this page with a reopening date as soon as possible.

Dear Valued ATC FITNESS Member ~

Per Mayor Strickland’s 3/19/2020 press release, we have been mandated to close our doors for the time being, along with local restaurant (inside dining) as well as bars and any other gym and fitness centers. Just as others, we hope that this ends April 1st, as other gym closures have stated. We hope to know more as we approach that date and will push information to you if that should change.

This is something that we always knew in the back of our minds was a possibility but is now unfortunately a reality. With the closure, our team members will not be manning the phones in the facilities. If you have questions, please email info [at] atc-fitness [dot] com – we will be trying our best to respond in a timely manner.

Members accounts will be NOT be billed during this forced closure. Once ATC fitness centers can re-open, billing and access to the clubs will resume as normal.

Know that your ATC Fitness family is here with you during this unsettled time – and we will be here again when we are able to welcome you back to the clubs. In the meantime, stay active and healthy, use the time to be with your families, and find time to enjoy life, and, most of all, do your part to end this virus.

ATC is currently not taking any new members, guest, or drop in workouts, effective immediately.

ATC’s number one goal is to continue to keep our employees and current membership base as safe as possible while functioning as a business during these trying times. One way for us to do this is to immediately stop the sales of new memberships into ATC facilities, as well as guest workouts and one-day-pass workout, limiting the amount of new traffic inside of our facilities.

During this last week, there have been multiple gym closures in our areas. Although we would love to service those members affected by their fitness centers closing, we would not feel comfortable doing that and still keeping the integrity of the suggestions of social distancing inside of our facilities.

Once it is safe for us to return back to normal business practices, we will notify everyone via social media and digital communication that they may then come and join our wonderful, local, family-owned fitness facility.
